Oval Sunrise

I know it's faintly ridiculous, some 28 years after the invention of the Walkman to be getting a buzz from listening to certain music in certain places, and enjoying the unintentional cinematic qualities. But, listening to some of Oval's Ovalprocess whilst walking into the sunrise on the way to the station this morning was fantastic - a music of chirrups and bell-like sounds, deep rumbles ...

Distracting myself once again

If you don't mind clicking for each track to load, Pullman's excellent first album, Turnstyles and Junkpiles is all on Thrill Jockey's website . (Think mellow guitar quartet -- good stuff.) They do the same thing for The Sea and Cake (all releases have everything streamed save for their latest one), so I'm betting it's similar across the board. A nice feature if you like any of the artists ...
