... Wolverine his revenge motive. Everything else is good guys and bad guys and lots of violence. Worked for me, but I think the earlier films had more of a crossover audience with characters like Jean Gray and Rogue. Compared to T4, the story arc was much better, starting with Logan's learning of his powers as a child and continuing on until a reasonable stopping point a few years before X-Men 1.
