My new eeeeeePC netbook died on me recently. I sent it in for repair; it's funny to hear the term "RMA" (Return Materials Authorization) from them after first encountering it at work. It's back, apparently with a replaced keyboard. And they didn't replace the hard drive, even though the machine was so dead it wouldn't even reach the BIOS screen. I turned it on and found my data is still there! ...

So the wind blew pretty hard yesterday and last night. I'm not sure of the official numbers ( we don't have an anemometer ) but from experience my guess is that the winds were consistently around 50-60 mph, and gusts were 80+ .
