I am wondering though, how common is this idea?  Wikipedia's article on Hamlet has no mention of stoicism, and I imagine much of the popular criticism consists of variety of Existential/Freudian/Lacanian/structuralist/semiotic/miscellaneous-fashionable-nonsense ideas.  How many people, how many teachers , are missing this?
