wow that was an expensive meal

$700 for 3 people at Spiaggia's in Chicago. i wish i could afford several meals a year like that. can i just say that if any meal is worth $255 dollars (!) the DOP tasting menu and it's accompanying wine selection is probably it. freakin' a-mazing. the dover sole over polenta was shockingly good, and the gnocci was friggin out of this world. 8 courses of absolutely disgustingly decadent ...
