Piri Piri seasoning and Amchur Powder

I recently bought some Piri piri seasoning (a spice mixture usually made of hot piri piri peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and oregano) and Amchur powder (dried mango powder) and need some ideas of how to use them.

I have alot of leftover Ham and plan to make Split Pea Soup tomorrow. I also have the bone still. I have my moms recipe but hers was very bland. Anyone have an awesome recipe? Im hoping to not have to go to the store, but will if I have to. I have some basics here. A large selection of dried herbs and seasonings. Onions and some potatoes. 2lbs of dry split peas and about 1lb of ham.

Crock Pot conversion question

.... How would you modify the recipe to be crock pot friendly? Specifically, should I brown the meat before tossing it into the crock pot, or can I toss it in raw, skip the flour, just add the herbs and seasonings, and let the crock pot do all the cooking? It'll be cooking for 4 hours minimum, so I can use a spoon and get the fat that floats up over time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
