Who: Ian, Matt What: Techie, meet techie. When: Soon after http://community.livejournal.com/spirits_rp/26881.html Where: Outside Matt's apartmentcomplexRating: PG, for whatever reason. To be perfectly honest, Ian had not stirred much from his apartment complex since the last meeting with Daisuke. Clair was alive, and that was the most important thing. He may not still wish to ...
... came up with. I overheard him talking to another coworker the other day about hiring a web designer and I jumped in to offer my services. So I met with him and his colleagues -- all undergrad, the nerdy programmer of the three was only 17 years old. The other one that I just met yesterday was full of pale blue eyed spunk. I liked him because he laughed at all of my jokes. I almost felt like I ...
Last weekI cameacross several science blogs informing that data, source code, and emails from the Climate Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, England, had been hacked. If these files were for real, they were extremely damning to the alarmist viewpoint in the ongoing climate change debate. What is detailed is a peek at the nasty world in which the "science" has been "debated" ...
I'm seriously considering becoming a mediocre programmer. Computers whine when things aren't precise and they make me want to bust shit up. I want to yell at them, YOUR THINKING = FAIL but they wouldn't understand cos they're machines. They need to DIAF of million degrees.
... an email you wrote years ago isn’t accurate saying it was “taken out of context”, but a programmer making notes in the code does so that he/she can document what the code is actually doing at ... some post processing routine. Spin that, spin it to the moon if you want. I’ll believe programmer notes over the word of somebody who stands to gain from suggesting there’s nothing “untowards” about it ...
... life I once had. It's funny you know, I realized this as I read a short profile on a Twitter user after they posted some techny-geeky stuff that I found interesting. The person is: - an avid gamer - programmer - web designer - photographer Things that I used to be, but don't appear to be today. Why? I'm not sure really. I need to get to the bottom of this before life really does run out of fun ...
... on the edge of making that decision to move though. Mostly, it's the effort cost of having to update that resume and then having to review stuff I haven't been using at work but should know as a programmer that's holding me back. PARTNER: One girlfriend. Heh, no, there's not going to be more, concurrently. Anyhow, she's studying abroad in Japan for the year. I need to go visit her, but have ...
... the valley was lined with thorny bushes, with only one clear path. That had been what had gotten Rogers killed, when he went to see if Slemen had heard anything from his girlfriend, Ororo Howlett a programmer in Washington. Slemen had shot Rogers dead, and injured a Park Ranger who came to investigate the noise so badly that the man died three days later. Not before he’d said he thought he saw a...
.... Since email is so universal, you can have plugins run all the functionality of another program. The bonus? You can only have one window open (Outlook) for most of your business tasks. It's all very possible to get a programmer to do that, but you could also just buy an ACTadd-on that makes it work. For example the folks at ACT have a helpdesk program addin, and is a helpdesk program as well!
