I was kinda sick in the middle of the night. Likely reflux; I'm a lot better now, if not perfect. But it's scary. I have been taking Prilosec for years now and really would like to stop taking it. I tried cold turkey.. what a bad idea!! My heartburn is so bad that I have started to take half of one again a day. I tried the Nature's Way Probiotics but they didn't seem to do much.. anyone know of anything better. I switch to Papaya Extract instead of Tums and they do work better, but not for long. .... Self-diagnosis: bleeding peptic ulcer. I see a GI specialist tomorrow morning and hopefully start treatment. With any luck, it's bacterial in nature , meaning it's easily treated with a combination of antibiotics, prilosec, and maybe some Pepto-Bismol. And last but not least, my right wrist hurts.
