Cichlid Slime Coat Update

... this type of illness? I recently raised my pH, which I suspect might be the cause of all this, but I had no choice as my too low pH was causing hole in the head. However, the higher pH should have been a good thing as they're African cichlids. Maybe I raised it too quick?
