Well, almost :] Nothing is ever allowed to be done before the event! I must be sewing in the car on the way there! All that's missing is a cuff on the sleeved partlet, and to shorten the dress sleeves. Somehow they are too long on this gown and too short on the doublet gown... I went with tabs instead of the puffed sleeve, and I actually really like them! Not sure why I had an aversion to tabs...

Its been a while....

.../knee high hose to go with said shoes, I just need to hem them, which I can do tonight at craft. So that is dress, chemise, shoes and hose. Then there are the other accessories. The sheer partlet type thingy???? I really don't know if it is part of the chemise or something different. Maybe its two different chemises - one that has a low neckline that is unseen because it sits just below the edge ...

Went to see The Other Boleyn Girl today.  The costuming is... very shiny, except for the VERY FIRST GODDAMN SCENE you see Anne, her partlet is clearly zigzagged on a machine.  sadface.  Since the rest of the chemises are amazing.  I want all Mary's clothes. yep. And I'm gonna look good in em.  Yep.  Anne's stuff, not so much.  too much glittery silkys, not enough good wools and awesome smocking.  ...
