I hate myself and give up.... no, not like that, I mean on claiming I avoid everything socialnetworky whilst abusing Ailsa's lj. So I've set up LJ and Facebook and probably will add myspace and deviantart as well. http://granny-gertrude.livejournal.com/
...sleep deprivation. If I was at home I would hide, so it's probably for the best that I am out and about, but now I feel bad about not being more social. idk, idk. I'm on two internetnetworky date sites. i have on and off interests in them, giving them a go. One of them stops dudes from messaging me because I set my orientation as lesbian. That weeds out all the fun crazy men. It makes me almost...
I have performed a brain transplant into a Linksys WRT54Gv8, and it's now happily being a client router on the other network, letting her Tivos go do their happy guide updates over the network even when her PC is off and everything. Yeah, it was entirely cargo-cult programming, but I'm still immensely pleased with myself. This must be how people like my mother feel when they successfulinstall ...

They say 90% of jobs are found through networking, so I dutifully joined LinkedIn, and other jobish sorta networky places. Did the mojo with Monster and Career Builders and all those places, ya da ya da. . . and to relieve the anxiety, I visited on Facebook -- which I considered to be just a fun place...
Hey there, kiddos. I'm trying to find out about more networky events that are going on around here. I know about the weekly events hosted by pdxjobsearch.org and such, but I need more. What do you know, Joe?
So, more haxoring about social-networky stuff. I’m impressed with how well all of this stuff works together with minimal tweaking. All of this synergy is pretty exciting to me, it’s a bit of a flickering light at the end of a dark-ish tunnel full of burrows of randominternet socialization. Here’s the crazy insanity that is currently possible/happening.
My blogs are: TomMannino.com and ...
Too tired to think from ComicCon so I did some social-networky-majigging a bittonight, and am still doing so. Some outstanding issues:
My TomMannino.com template I don’t think supports the newish Wordpress Tag system, I picked it before they had seperated the two.
My ScatteredGenius.com template has a new version that does support the Tag system, however if I update it I will have to redo ...
... the Latino Students Union, for example, could have a great, third-wave dialogue about the rights of Latina immigrant women in America that might enrich both. It may seem a bit pretentiously networky, and it /is/, but it also raises awareness and educates everyone involved. Discussion facilitators refine their ideas in order to present on their areas of expertise to the assembled, who might not ...
