Good to confusing to bad to worse

That's the gist of my day.  It started out well, got a perfect night's rest and actually made it to my first class on time.  The lecture was entirely uninteresting, but informative, nonetheless.  Though, my prof has a habit of saying NAE-tion-al, instead of the properly pronouncing it NAH-tion-al.  So, that gets tiresome.  Then my second class... ugh.  I was so lost.  We looked at Joseph Conrad...
