... the fuck was happening to people in the generation after GenX and I cannot read it unless I have a week to sit and brood. Girlfriend in a Coma strikes me as a sort of happy ("happy") middleground between the two extremes. It's thought provoking, a little heavy handed sometimes, just strange enough to be disturbing - post-apocalyptic ghosts and supermarkets - and I am sad that I haven't read it ...
