2009: The Year of Alea

In 2007 I tried to play at least one Knizia game each time I had a long gaming day. In 2008 I tried to work through as much of Martin Wallace's catalog as I could. For 2009, I have a new goal: to play through the entire set of Alea games, in order of publication (and write about them as I do). The Wallace-a-Thon Ends: Princes of the Renaissance

I love games with multiple currencies. I always describe Reiner Knizia's Beowulf as a six-currency auction game, and I'm thrilled that his Money is coming back into print too, thanks to Fred Distribution.

The end of the semester means I have time for games

... einfach nicht gut heissen. Und es ist deshalb klar durchgefallen. Vor allem da das auch noch als "Mädchenspiel" gehandelt wird. Ich glaub mir wird schlecht Euphrat und Tigris Ein Klassiker von Rainer Knizia der wieder aufgelegt wurde. Ich muss sagen dass ich es vorher noch nie gespielt hab, aber es hat was. Ok ich mag viele von knizias Spielen - auch wenn sie manchmal etwas zu taktisch sind. ...
