Steam Whistle images

I'm looking for some reference images of steam whistles, specifically those installed on steam locomotives, circa mid to late 19th century. If you know of any online or print resources, or locomotive installations in the San Diego / Southern California region, I'd greatly appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Block images in entries

I was wondering if it's possible to 'block' all images in entries on my friends list. .lj-view-friends .entry_text img {display: none;} does the trick, but the problem is that this also makes the tiny user info icons disappear. Is there any way to remove all images from my friends list except for the user info icons? I would prefer a solution via custom theme layer (mine is here )...
