a question of colour

In your opinion, would a shiny Ninetails actually be silver, instead of grey? Same goes for any other grey shiny Pokemon, or yellow ones that might potentially be gold (I can't think of any offhand, but I know there must be a couple). Been itching to try out my silver/gold fimo 8D Thanks!
