Галапагосские острова (Galapagos Islas), Бальтра (Baltra)

Agenda 2

..., scheduled to come out in spring. I'd just finished pounding out the first half of Clockwork Heart the November before for NaNoWriMo but hadn't finished it yet. I was looking forward to going to the Galapagos Islands over summer break as my first big trip in years, but I was worried about the expense. ...official when my dad offered us some of the buddy passes (making the flight half as expensive) we get through my granddad, so we went for it! It is not entirely planned out, of course, but barring financial roadblocks, it looks like we'll be spending 2 months hanging out in Ecuador and Peru, with perhaps a side trip to the Galapagos and possibly some WWOOFing along the way. Life, it is happening!

... go to India for a couple of weeks or I could explore the ocean for the rest of my lifetime. I would need to find a scuba partner though. I wonder how expensive it would be to go to the galapagos islands. Maybe I should save all the money for japan adventure 2012. I wish I had some source of income so I could eventually do everything. Well, since el co screwed me over I guess I'll dedicate my life...

The future is here, and it's not pretty

...what does this mean? California sea lions ( Zalophus californianus ) are found along the western coast of the U.S. and Mexico, with a subspecies ( Zalophus californianus wollebacki ) found in the Galapagos, and number about 200,000. Two killer whale types found in UK waters

... on killer whales around the world shows that killer whales have radiated to fill different ecological niches. "It's similar to how Darwin's finches have adapted to different ecological roles in the Galapagos, but on a larger scale," Dr Foote notes. He suggests this could be an important discovery for the future of the animals. "They seem to have occupied completely different ecological niches ...
