... I took it off the backing plate and started sanding. It's more or less done, although I'll sand it some more, but it's now down to a wall thickness of about .060...which is about the thickness of a dime. That might be thick for metal, but it's pretty thin for wood. And, it's round. Working that close to the business end of a machine is a challenge, and I'm pretty sure I don't have latent prints ...

I went to Les Schwab and told them to just get me a used tires since my others tire's were several years old. They did so and didnt charge me a dime for the tire or to mount it and put it on the truck!
