What am I gonna do with all this YARN???

...acquired a substantial amount of yarn. Some of it is leftovers...a bit of the bulky weight for the red newsboy cap...of Felici and Essential sock yarn. Uh... socks? If I can...the pretty new line of yarn; I think it's going...DK and the other is worsted. I really have no clue...a dark blue-green worsted weight cotton-wool blend... uh... no...few balls of variegated purple cotton - currently leaning towards a market...

... that a relative of ours knit for her.  Unfortunately she recently caught the shawl and something and tore a length of the yarn, which in turn dropped stitches and created a hole.  I have no idea how to fix it, and cant seem to find...it fixed? The hole is actually in a portion of the pattern which has a "cabled" diamond shape in it.  Also it is a standard cotton/acrylic worsted weight yarn.
