plants in tank?

...question, but is it ok to plant a live plant (golden pothos for instance) in a hermit crab tank? Do any of you have experience with this? I looked in my book about hermit crabs and live plant pros/cons weren't mentioned at all. My concern is that they'd eat something poisonous, but then I thought 'they seem to avoid foods that they don't like' and maybe the little guys have the instinct to not eat...
