I read this for my book club and I really liked it. The book starts slowly and builds up as the book goes along. Enoch is a Civil War veteran that is approached by an alien in need of someone local to run a ...also some galactic politics involved in the story and the problems in the story get solved a bit too easy and pat but it didn't detract from being a good read.
