I knew they would be online all the time and I didn't want to compete with them over the bandwidth. But then when I was going to move the one new video, I found there were a dozen on the camera card! Sheesh. Anyway, I went through them to see what they were and tentatively labelled them. We'll get some birchbark from Sedge Meadow tipi. I have some willow in the bathtub now. I'll light a campfire in the glass Tipi in the morning so we can work in there if we want to. It'll be nice and warm in there anyway! How nice! I'll try to go to the dump at 8 and be back with the campfire going when they're here. It should be quite nice!... http://nancytoday.livejournal.com/5294025.html Published: 1 year, 3 months ago (Fri, 22 Oct 2010 19:05:43 PDT); 505 bytes Just made a little birchbark neck basketI used the piece of birchbark that Kayla and I took off in Sedge Meadow Tipi, ripped it in strips an inch wide and made a little basket about four strips wide and four strips tall and one strip deep. I used seagrass around the birchbark rim band and along the top. I used home hardware strap for the long strap to go over my shoulder or around my neck. It has little home hardware symbols on it, but... http://nancytoday.livejournal.com/5292449.html Published: 1 year, 3 months ago (Fri, 22 Oct 2010 06:20:38 PDT); 1275 bytes WTF: Basketry reedHello dear community! It sure looks mighty fine! I used vines that are about half a centimeter wide. Some of them are narrower. The basket is pretty heavy. I'm not sure if it will get lighter as it dries out, but I imagine it will. I really like it. It's such a good shape. I think I do my best work on ribbed baskets.
