I don't like seeing authors respond to a select few when they get comments on a fic, and then not reply to everyone else. It makes those you didn't reply to look unappreciated. The need/urge to respond to comments left by friends or people you know, I understand, but seeing all those other people being ignored leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
