So, there apparently is a heron hanging about Wingra creek. adsartha , ghent_the_cynic and I saw it on our way to the butcher shop today. I am pleased :). Herons mean the ecosystem around here is not in as horrific shape as I'd feared.

[Fic] The Fix: We Don't Need No Education

... broke my heart, so I resolved to fix it the way every good fangirl does: with fanfic! This is part 1 of several, which is in and of itself only the opening to the actual fix. The groundwork, as it were. Many, many thanks to my lovely betas, adsartha and kikibug13 , first of all, for putting up with me while I was working on this behemoth. Dear Rainy, Thank you for the stitch markers. They (and the card) really made my day. I'd gone on a two mile long walk and it was icy just like wrenb had warned, so it was a hard workout. It was like coming home to a great big hug from you. Em (no falls, has yarn thanks to adsartha , and I did my deep knee bends and leg lifts. My speed and balance are improving.)

...doing was choosing names for ourselves. I already had one, really, the tag "I'm the goddamn jaguar" has been kicking around my journal for a while. We came up with "tigress burning bright" for adsartha because it was the first kickass thing we could think of. We're still working on our third baby courtesan. It's the same reason this is courtesan school, really. We are naming what we want...
