Can I displace my honda computer box b16a engine by ordinary honda accord computer box? 1993 honda a

...a my computer box that was damaged.we replaced the computer box but it is not for honda sir.we start the engine and it runs!!after that I ear that my Rev limit decreased to 7000rpm instead of 8000rpm.will ther be a change in my speed if i replace my damaged computerbox (b16A mechanism) by ordinary computer box?im afraid that the VTEC gone?!
