I would break in and out of the grip I held on both worlds, attaining within myself a sort of synthetic peace. I would not know where it come from, or how mentally impotent it would render me – what was out there, and which of these two visions were real.

A world within a star field, rapidly accelerating into a void. The only way one can sense movement is through the vibrations in the continuum and the gravity ripping. Sand and debris would cascade the infinite night, as one thought after another demolished itself on waves of emotion.

“We have her, she’s pulling through.”

“Stay with us, miss~”

I feel cold steel, and it sends a numbness through my body, like a needle piercing through ravaged and torn flesh. And then my body is firmly within the grasps of another, I have no control, I sense no tomorrow… no tomorrow

A young woman, a little out of place feels a parade of feelings shooting through what feels like a lifeless corpse. She lay motionless on a hospital bed, her origins are unknown and what very well brought her to this place is just as vague and riddled with enigmatic loose ends. But then, at that very moment out of what would seem clear out of the blue.

She begins to stir…

~…~

A female nurse makes her founds through the 5 story hospital, paying heed to whoever seems to be at an out place faction. She is making her way around to the deeper recesses of the build, the higher arches and the colder plains. This area is reserved for those who need the highest amount of care. She feels sorry for what little qualms she has to face in the world when people in this ward appear to be without hop

“OH MY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?”

“Whut?” A youthful anthro asks as she sits on her bed scratching at her head.

~…~

High noon approaches soon enough on the humble residents of this peaceful suburb, ONETT. But a very interesting conversation is taking place in the confines of the local hospital~

“Who are you?”

“Uh, I think…”

“Amnesia.”

“YAH, that’s it.”

“No.. YOU have AMNESIA.”

“Whut’s that?”

“Dave, she was in a coma for a long time, it may have damaged her brain.”

“HEY!”

The two men pause as she raises her voice and slams her right arm down on the hospital bed a disgruntled look on her face, obviously taking offense to the brain damage bit. “I’m not dum”

“Miss, you have been unconscious for a very long time. You were found not far from this village during a most troubling night. You were in a very bad condition.”

>“I feel good now?”

“Well, yeah, we helped you back to good health…” The taller of the two men stated. (The one referred to as “Dave”)

“You did?”

“Yes.”

“When?”

*aside* “Allan, maybe you should go get the attention of a doctor, and we can run some tests.”

“Agreed.” The shorter man replied and made his way quickly out of the room.

“Whut’s your name?”

“Oh? I’m David Bones. I’m the mayo –“

“DAVE BOOOOOOOONES.”

“Heh heh, yeah, yeah I guess so.”

~…~

The young woman with cat like features sat cross legged on her hospital bed eating from a tray that folded over her legs and held the food up to a more casual height. They served her a gelatin like dessert which she digested in a very playful manner sucking it up with a loud noise accompanying the action in question. The nurse stood idly by in the doorway, awaiting to take the tray back to the hospital mess hall.

“More!”

“I’m sorry?”

“More!”

“Oh, did, what did you want more of?”

The young woman looks at the nurse with a cocked eyebrow and holds out the little bowl that had the gelatin in it. “More!” A wide smile etched across her face.

“Yes, right away, miss?”

“Amnesia.”

Dave who was sitting across the room looking out the window couldn’t help but raise his hand to his head and palm his face, she really wasn’t that bright. Hopefully his concerns would be unwarranted as he awaits the arrival of his companion and the doctor.

~…~

“If you’ll excuse me,” Dave responds as he sees his companion come to the doorway of the room.

Dave walks out and is greeted by an older man along with Allan, “Hello Mr. Bones.”

>“Good morning, Doctor.”

“This patient has been under our care for the last 7 years, what is it you would like to know about her?”

“What were the terms of her condition?”

“She was in a coma from excessive head trauma and severe blood loss. She was found as you may or may not know shortly after The Grand Fall.”

“Yes we are aware of those circumstances.”

“She hasn’t responded to any treatment we’ve implemented, and now that she’s awake you say she is suffering from amnesia?”

“I don’t think ‘suffering’ is the right word, Doctor.” –Allan.

“Yes, the young one is quite at peace with the said deficiency.” –Dave.

“Well, as we have yet to, I will run a check up on our resident patient.”

“DAAAVE BOOONES!” A loud and low rolling tone comes from the room the 3 gentleman stand outside.

The Doctor pulls up his pen from his breast pocket and bravely steps into the room, to a paranoid looking young anthro. “Whut?” She asks as he appears to be looking right at her.

“Nothing, I’m just here to run you through a couple things, to make sure you are back with us in the right state.” The Doctor responded as he lifted up a stethoscope and prepared to check for her heart beat.

“Now this will be a tad chilly.” The Doctor responded as he took a seat on a stool in front of her, and almost abruptly reached up the front of her hospital shirt with the cold peripheral.

“HSSSS!!” She cursed and threw her arms at him and for some reason sent him rolling on his stool right into the wall on the opposite side of the room. As the Doctor collected his wits he looked over at the young woman holding her arms crossed over her chest. And he could notice the tail appendage whipping at the air as if in distress.

“Miss, I need to recor.”

“Amnesia!” She scolded.

“Doctor, maybe we could just, skip, this portion of the testing?” Allan asks a little worried for the man’s well being.

“Yes, we can move to more pressing matters.” The Doctor replied still a little shaken up. his eyes widen however when he spots Miss. Amnesia attempting to remove her bandages on her left arm. “No, MISS, LEAVE THOSE ON.”

A sudden silence takes over the room as the bandages unwind down her forearm revealing what could only be thought of as a metallic substitute. “Now miss. Don’t be upset but you’re arm was badly damaged and.”

“COOOOOOOOOOOL.” She sounded off the Doctors advancements actually not being to taken back by the fact of having a robot forearm.

“I’m starting to think there’s nothing at all wrong with this one, Dave.”

“I think I share the same sentiments, my friend.”
