The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe

Reading this book I can certainly see why it inspired TV/Movie versions where the first one didn't, it's much easier to see it as a cinematic creation... the imagery is vivid, there are clearly more action orintated scenes and the conflicts are more easily translatable - sibling rivalry for example, is obviously something that a lot of people can identify with as much today as they did when the books were first published. I loved the book,every bit as much as I've always loved the TV/Movie versions of the story.
